Last week we surprised our kids with a trip to Disneyland! I’m not good at keeping secrets, but somehow we pulled this one off! They didn’t believe us at first because Chad always jokes about going whenever we are nearby, but they were so excited!

After 8 years of living in our home, and tackling projects, we finally made our remodeling way to our primary bathroom! I definitely look at our home and the remodel projects as more of a marathon rather than a sprint!

I will admit I was a little nervous to go back knowing it wouldn’t be the “same.” Even up until the night before I was thinking oh gosh, I hope we’re making the right decision to go…but let me tell you…Disneyland did not lose its magic! Our family had a blast and it just felt so good to walk through those Disney gates again! I’m so glad we decided to go and besides missing the parades & shows (neither are happening at the moment), it really did feel like old times being there!

It’s getting to be that time where the sun is shining every day, the temps are getting warmer & I’m craving some outdoor yard time! It’s funny because I still remember being a kid and my parents would have us all outside gardening together as soon as Spring would hit! And those memories of all of us being out there together are my favorite to look back on! Now that I’m an adult I can see why my parents would get so excited to have our family outside planting new things and getting our yard all ready for Spring & Summer! We had a full on garden growing up with corn stalks and veggies, so I’m definitely not to that level yet, but even planting pretty, Spring plants makes me feel so excited for all the outside time that lies ahead!

This room of theirs is one of the sweetest rooms in the house because I can already tell how many memories they have made & will continue to make in there! They help each other pick out outfits, still choose to sleep in the same bed half of the time and like I said before, the little laughs we hear in there after we put them to bed just hits such a soft spot in my heart because I know they’re going to remember these times forever!
